I used MOG a year ago, then switched to Rdio for the better interface and apps. I recently upgraded to the Sennheiser Momentum and figured it was time to reevaluate streaming services and eliminate any potential bottlenecks.
Rdio streams at 192kbps. MOG streams at 320kbps. While MOG is better on paper, I'm having trouble discerning any audible difference between the two. I'm trying to avoid the placebo effect and critically listen to both streams, but I either don't hear any difference, or I just don't know what to listen for. For those who do hear a difference, is there a part in one particular song where a difference is apparent?
My source is a 2012 Macbook Air, which I read has a fairly decent built-in DAC.
