I’m looking to go from DAC to two different amps and I want an RCA switch. I’m looking at this https://www.showmecables.com/2-way-...Ycn-naypDfTdHWu7lylKyeozuWt8LyDIaAnQoEALw_wcB but the FAQ says that:

A switch allows you to connect multiple video sources to 1 display. A splitter allows you to take the video from one source and then display it on multiple displays depending on how many outputs the splitter has.

It seems like it should work in reverse. Is this one-direction a limit the video? Should audio-only go the other way as well?

A splitter only works one way (one input, multiple outputs). A switch works both ways. It's the same for audio or video.

The switch will do what you want. Alternatively you could use a splitter and switch your amp's power on/off depending on which you're using. That also gives you the option to use both at once.
