Okay so I am not that knowledgable in terms of amps and wanted to know what you experts know on this basic subject. What is the difference between an Active RCA Pre-amp out and a RCA Loop out? Also what's the difference between a pre-amp and a regular one?? I am extremely confused right now.

preamp out passes the signal through the volume control and amplification stages. it's basically the same as the headphone out, but with RCA connections.

loop out is an unaltered signal straight from the input. it should theoretically be the same as plugging something straight into the source and useful if you want more things plugged into the source than you have outputs.
