Razormaid was a remix service which was very influential to the dance music genre. Before the Internet things worked slightly different. You were mailed a newsletter and it listed what you could buy along with prices and phone number and a window of time when the phone lines would be open to order.
They pressed up limited edition vinyl records and CDs. Much of the time their work sounded different from the original songs. One because of being pressed on virgin vinyl and due to alternate mastering and mixing. Normally limited to 1000 copies it's nice now to be able to obtain their whole output on hardrive.
