I recieved my tiamat 7.1 today, and have hooked it up. Every cord is in the correct place. I've set it as the device in sound settings as well. However, the sound is somewhat grainy, and sounds distant. Does anyone know how I could fix this? ASRock Z87 Extreme4 MOBO Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used my Tiamat 7.1 straight from my MOBO for about a week. When I upgraded to a dedicated sound card the difference was huge.

It may seem obvious, but have a look at the controller unit and make sure all channels have their volume set appropriately, you might have some muted. You might also want to check it's not a software issue (windows sound settings or mobo drivers). Finally, I recommend plugging the usb cable into a power supply, you will get a lot of grain and hiss if you plug it into your pc.

i have Tiamat 7.1 and i love it, so i'm looking for something else better, but there is nothing in 7.1, if you hear something - give me tips.
