Hello and hi ...
I currently own a pair of horrible Sony MDR-V700. Yeah, they are awful.
So, I`ve been listening quite alot to the Stax System 3030, and they really blow my mind. Only problem is that they`re really expensive, and my cdplayer is utterly crap. So I`m wondering about the Alessandro MS2 and a decent amp.
My listening consists of 50 % electronic and 50 % jazz, blues, classic and rockish music. What you can see is that the stax are great for 50% of the music, but not so good for the other 50 %.
What I have heard is the senn 650 ( not that impressed ), stax system 3030 ( fantastic airy sound ) and the grado sr 325 with a vincens tube-amp ( sounded .. not that good, had about 20 hours burn-in .. guess thats the reason )
So. What do you recommend? I could almost get the ms2, amp and a new pretty good cdplayer for the price of the stax. I am also considering using the phones for my pc listening to music from it.
