Since then, I managed to get a NOS battery pack for 133$ with box.
I think this is still a very decent mobile amp!

Came with the battery and the fake leather carry case.
They are pretty rare.

I wonder, if there are better options and how does this thing sound compared to srd-p, for example.

I do not have the carrycase, but bought the battery NOS a few years back, altough never used them. IMHO this is a very good amp to demonstrate the STAX sound if you have to bring your phones.
