I have just taken possession of a Raptor.

As has been noted numerous times, this amp runs hot.

In particular, I note the tubes run very hot.

Do any early adopters have any experience regarding tube life for this amp?

5687's run hot by design .... you have a small glass envelope with limited heat dissipation developing a good amount of current. But, as long as the tube is operated with design parameters the 5687 should last as long as any other high quality nos tube.

I am still using the original Tung Sol 5687's I put in both these amps, approximately 1.5 years ago for the MPX3 .... and slightly less for the PPX3 SLAM.
