I'll redo mine...
1. MZ-E50 (most bass hands-down, it rips your head off with the A500s which I no longer have)
2. D-EJ915 (doesn't need BB...smacks the 2000 in terms of bass, I was running this off of AC and the 2000 off of the battery though...)
3. MZ-S1 (has about the same bass as the 2000 but has good BB)
4. D-EJ2000 (has nice highs, weak in bass and has bad BB)
5. D-E880 (too midrange-y, it has the same bad BB)

The philips is dead, and the SP90 is long-gone.

I have a question for those who mentioned the Panasonic SL-CT470 early in this thread. I know there was discussion several years ago about differences between silver and blue models. I also know that Panasonic's website lists the SL-CT470 as being silver and the SL-CT470A as being blue. I have several blue models, but they all say SL-CT470. Does anybody have any more definitive information about the actual differences (not percieved) between these models? And finally, has anybody found any of blue models to perform as well as the silver ones are percieved to perform? I would consider upgrading to a better portable source, but good line out CD players are few and far between these days.

1) iRiver iMP-550 (very good quality up to ear-destroying volumes)
2) Rio S30S (my daily player, needs some kind of amp to sound as good as the 550 at volumes above ~60%)

That's all I have, so I can't test anything else. Although I will say that I used to bash the relative bulk of the 550, until the day I got my SR-60's and watched them murder the Rio.

Hmm.. I never did compare the D321 and the D211 did I...

Maybe i'll just off my portable ears one day, just for remembering the 'good old days' if nothing else

1. MZ-NH600D, because its the only one I have atm

With the ER4P, I can hear a big improvement over the N505. The sound is good enough for me for non-critical listening.

I'm hoping you could help me out or point me in the right direction.

I bought a Sony Walkman WM-EX80 from someone on Ebay.
It didn't come with the headphones. The a-hole knew this and didn't put it in his details.

Now i have a working walkman but I don't have the headphones, they are the MDR-E472. Any idea where i can buy some or what a good substitute or replacement for this would be and where I could get it?

Forget the oringinal stock earphone. Except AMP3, the stock earphones come with almost all DAPs is not the hifi grade. So if you want to absorb all the EX80 sound quality, you should look for a higher grade earphone to pair with.
