Hello all,
I have a friend who bought the UE6000 on my recommendation, and is using them with his computer and his Samsung Galaxy S3. He likes their sound, but he has one problem - he prefers the Noise Cancelling on when he listens, and the tech specs show an impedance of 1000 Ohms (passive mode = 50 Ohms).
On max volume, his phone has barely enough power to drive the active UE6000 to a listenable volume. In passive mode, he says it's okay, but not very loud either.
So, I was wondering if any head-fiers have a similar problem, and would know how to increase the volume somehow on his GS3 (preferably not by rooting it, which would void his contract); would a third-party player like Neutron or poweramp do it? He would prefer not to use a portable amplifier, he's not really into all this as of now. Thanks.
