I have a pretty noob setup...obviously. I was just trying to listen to my portable again...it's been gathering dust. Haven't used it in a long time. I've gotten so used to good quality sound(even if my stuff is still mediocre), I noticed it sounds like freaking awful. Not just mediocre, but terrible. A murky muddy mess. Some of the detail is there, but that edge that makes music life like is completely gone. I thought it was actually broken at first... I lasted 10 minutes before I put it down in disgust.

I dunno I used to be really into portables and all...I used to follow practically every release of hdd players. Kind of odd they're so popular...they don't sound good. *Coughs* the JB1 is like equal to the ipod...I'm officially done with portables me thinks. The quality is crap...

I thought it was just kind of funny...ears can get spoiled as hell.
