Hi everyone,

My misadventures with modding my 225 1/4" plug are well known in the diy forum. But I seem to have arrived at last.

Not content to leave well enough alone, I wonder if anyone's tried increasing impedence by using the Etymotic ER4s adapter, or similar, with their Grado.

Is there any noticeable sonic improvement?

What's this ... you guys mean I'm actually going to have to listen and use my own judgement?

Don't you get that I'm as deaf as a stone?

I need to be *told* what sounds good by others

Okay, a variant question--halfway intelligent, this time

I use a Rio Carbon connected to a TAH. Will listening to the 225 with the Ety adapter increase the drain both Carbon & TAH, or just the TAH?

I've used a 75 ohm adapter with the SR225, MS-1, SR200, etc- no grado sounds good with an additional resistor tagged to it imho, even with an amp.

Just the TAH.
