The only format I have used in the R5 is exFAT. Works fine.
I'm sure it accepts modern formatting. I can't imagine it requires FAT32. The only recent dap I know of that does, is the Cowon D2.Does the R5 support exFat? That said if it didn't it would ask to reformat them.
It's not spring loaded like a slot type. You push in the pin and it slides out.Quick question - Is the card drawer supposed to be kinda spring loaded... Similar to what's found on a modern smartphone? Mine just kinda slide in and out, with no click or other noise. Just curious

While on the subject of volume; I really would like a split between the volume for 3.5 single ended and the 4.4 balanced. In the car I go full throttle on volume as it is connected to the car auxiliary input. At home I go 4.4. But if I forget to turn down the volume after car use it is a scary experience. Also would like to use the line out option for the 3.5 and regular amplification for 4.4. The Cayin N5II does this; and it actually uses HiBy software.
I think this unit is an excellent value and continue to appreciate it.
