Well, today I finally got around to configuring the music playback system. I've downloaded and installed Kernel Streaming, iZotope Ozone, and the Mad plugin. My one question is, how do I know that the mad plugin is the one being utilized? I have a feeling it isn't, because a directSound message popped up a bit ago. I'm pretty sure that kernel streaming is being used, so my question is with the mad. Are there any files that need to be deleted, or is it working fine?

I appreciate all help.

EDIT: LOOK TO 3RD POST FOR OTHER PROBLEM

If the MAD plugin is installed, make sure you go into preferences and configure the plugin and check off the enable box for it. The next thing is go into the Nullsoft MPEG decoder (in_mp3.dll) and where it says file associations, clear it so it is a blank field.

Hope that helps!

MAD doesn't support ID3v2, that might explain your tags being missing.

Also, if you use the Winamp media library, MAD affects how the data is taken in and stored.

How would I go about changing them? I have tag and rename, but no idea how to use it.

Thanks for your help.

WOW!

I have literally downloaded every tagging program available, and am too stupid to use any of them. The only one that worked was fixtunes, but that costs money to do anymore. Anyone have suggestions, or have aim that can guide me?

I just Googled this up: http://www.tigotago.com/

That seems pretty intuitive and straightforward versus a lot of other taggers out there. There are intro animations in screenshots that give a basic overview of the features.
