Hey guys,

I decided to make the "bullplugs' for my LD MKIII amplifier, I have the Mullard M8161 driver tubes and love the sound, I want to change the power tubes, to the Mullard E182CC, so that way I would have an all Mullard tube sound, which would be amazing, would this combination be possible? or would the Tung-Sol 5687 be the better choice? Has anybody tried these combinations, and if so, how was the result? I heard that driver tubes amount for a 65% difference and driver tubes 35%, or more... which to me is enough to tube roll the power tubes... Thanks in advance! Cheers,

Hello Bergman,

I read the thread on this, but the test only tried M8161 tubes with tung sol, and not with the E182CC tubes... either way, I am sure there is no difference and it would work. THough the mullards are a little pricey and It would suck for them not to work lol! Cheers,
