If I use a stereo coupler to connect two mini-to-mini cables together, will I lose any sound quality?

I ask this because I have two mini to mini cables that are the same size, but are too small to use on their own. However if I connect 'em together (with a coupler) it becomes long enough.

Does anyone know?

People will say anything you add in between is just more of an opportunity to degrade your signal. So in theory, you might be losing some signal quality. But on the other hand, it's probably very very small if anything and you will probably not hear any difference at all.

There should be no influence on quality from good brand connectors.

Try it and find out for yourself. It's more reliable than any one of us making theories about it.
