I just got Lame 3.96 as im not bothered about the odd sample that is worse and loads that are better.

I was encoding my first hip hop style cd - Miseducation of Lauryn Hill just cos its a nice one, but i noticed that it seemed to encode most of it at 128kb/s which was kinda wierd.

Jave i got the settings right as surely it cant produce a "transparent" copy with it mostly at 128kb and also i was told Lame APS averages at about 192kb/s rather than 140kb/s its reaching atm?

Anything im doing wrong

Maybe wrong, though APS can easily end up averaging around 128 depending on music. Can you type out your EAC compression window settings? If it encoded, the settings seem to work, and if you have anything in the command line text box it should over-ride any other setting. Try a couple albums.

And 'transparency' is a big question mark.
