I'm in a situation where I am planning on purchasing an Ipod from my friend. This friend is receiving a new Ipod, becuase his old one broke within the time of the warranty. My question is, If I was to purchase his new Ipod him, would I be able to purchase an extended Apple warranty plan from Apple? Or can it only be packaged with Ipods bought at Apple stores?

You can buy Apple Care at any point if it is still under warranty, which means you have a year from the purchase date to extend the warranty two more years.
