1) whats the best pcdp player out there now, in terms of sound quality and overall performace?

I currently have panasonis ct-800 but going to HK so I want to buy the best latest one...would going to Sony NE-1 be a big difference?

2) Will buying a pcdp that only plays CD give me better sound quality?

3) will the weak headphone outputs affect me if I use line out for my supermini amp anyways?

number 1 is a hard one to answer, seeing that obviously at the end of the day sound is a very subjective thing... Also, are you talking about TODAYS players, that can be bought in stores now, or... in general?

2, Can't answer that either, as I haven't heard one of those combi players, but I can't see it doing anything constructive for the sound...

3, as long as you have a seperate line out, and not one of these passive / auto selecting from headphone output outputs then so far as I know there would be no degredation no matter how crappy the headphone amp
