I picked up a pair of HD 280 PRO's a little while ago. So far I'm loving them. I dont know exactly why some people have problems with their sound quality, but they sound great to me. My only complaint is that the standard ear pads can be rather uncomfortable for me (they become sticky after a while, and can slide onto the top of my ears). I've read in some threads here that you can replace the pads with Beyerdynamic DT 250 pads to improve comfort. Before I go about doing this I have a few questions:
1) I've heard that doing this will have a negative effect on isolation. Does this also affect sound quality?
2)Will need any parts other than the new pads?
3)Can anyone who has successfully done this mod post some instructions on how to do it?
4)Is it worth $20?
thanks!
