Can the d4 handle the d2000s and is the synergy good?

How exactly does the dac/amp work with the computer? Can I power it with the 9v and use the dac and amp at the same time?

It can specially when you use the 9 volt battery to power the amp section. Although personally a dedicate home amp may prove better, however on the go w/ a laptop the home amp would not help you much.
