Hey, I'm now here, and new to tube amps. I've recently bought some headphones, the ATH-AD700X specifically, and a Bravo v3 from another kind member here, and had a question about the tubes. I have seen on amazon that they are sold as 12au7 compatible, but mine came with a 9622 tube. After reading some more, I see that the v2 was 12au7, but not the v3. Is there a way that you can use 12au7 tubes, or should I just not even bother? I don't want to ruin my new amp, but my friend was going to give me a stack of tubes.

Thank you very much for your time, and sorry for the ramble.

EDIT: I actually got an answer from someone on amazon, and just decided to give it a try. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't really remark on how it sounds with 12au7 tubes, but I like it. The biggest difference honestly was the heatsyncs burned me on the stock 9622 tube, but the 12au7 tubes sound pretty good also (need more testing on sound), but are only warm to the touch, and did not burn me. I'd highly recommend trying it out!

Tested with a Raytheon 12au7, and 3 sylvaina tubes.
