In the absence of finding local retailers who stock this sort of stuff I'm going to ask you folks another annoying question:
Would any of the following amps fulfill my requirements, fo they all perform similarly and which would you recommend? (For Grado 325i)

1. The Creek OBH21 SE and non-SE
2. Gilmore Lite
3. The Hornet or SR71
4. Cute Beyond.

Space isn't an issue but cosmetically my wife would like something tasteful; I don't mind quirky designs or colours.
Budget ?????? Within reason.......

I would add the Musical Fidelity X-Can V3, at $300 used. If you do not mind the expense ($600) and your wife approves get the Mapletree Ear Purist + HD.

Grado cans love tubes so I have suggested two tube amps in two price ranges.

I have been using the Creek OBH-21 (non-SE) for more than 2 years and am wholly happy with it. It has excellent synergy with Grados and Sennheisers (not so much with AKG). Contrary to what many would believe here, I personally find the OBH-21 more superior to the Corda Headfive (which I recently sold off) - better control, esp. on the HD-650, cleaner-sounding and little colouration.
