Hi everyone,

I'm going to be buying a surround system to go with my current computer (Macbook Pro). I need it primarily to monitor some audio work, and also to watch some movies and maybe play games.

I'm not trying to get a crazy system, since I'll also be getting a full Home Theater package later on. So I just need these speakers to be relatively accurate and flat, good-sounding and not immensely expensive.

Also, since the Macbook Pro only has a single digital line out, it'd be great if the speaker system was able to take optical in so I wouldn't have to get a separate decoder box.

Some options I'm considering are the Logitech Z-550, Gigaworks S750 and M-Audio LX4 (with 5.1 expansions set) but I'm open to any suggestions.

thanks in advance.

Thanks. My only problem is, these speakers have been discontinued and they're really have to find. M-Audio doesn't even have a replacement set, at leaset not in that price range.

Plus, I'd have to figure out a way to hook them up to my MBP, since they don't have optical in.

So, any other options except for the above?
