After some browsing of the assorted topics, the question arose in me: what would I gain by getting a meta42 to enhance the sound of my Marantz 6000ki? (Let's say I want to drive a HD600.) The CDP's headphone out is pretty decent (much better than that of the pm6010 amp), so I'm not convinced it would be easy to top it.
What kind of a difference should I expect? Night-and-day or just subtle changes? Another way to approach the question: what is the cheapest meta42 version that would be equal or better?
As I'm in Hungary it's rather hard to gain hands-on experience; I can't just order something with a money back guarantee
