Currently have my eye on the iCan SE for my TR-X00's, but I'm curious if it's still loud on low gain? I'm quite sensitive to channel imbalance and if it's an issue with the iCan and X00's, my only other option seems to be the rhead.

Thanks.

I know the Micro iDSD Black Label has iematch, but $600 is a bit much.

Since I've been going crazy trying to decide on a final purchase, the amps I've decided on based on reviews are the Grace M9XX, Arcam rhead, iCan SE, and iDSD Black Label. The Arcam is affordable right now, but i can save a bit more and just wait to get something better.

Strong bass is an absolute must, which is why the iDSD and iCan caught my attention, but they do push quite a lot of power, so imbalance is a big concern.

I use the iCan SE on low gain with my HD58X and IEM’s (Audeo PFE) and haven’t noticed any issues with channel imbalance.

Also, the bass boost on the iCan is great and extremely well implemented. With my HD58X I use the low setting of bass boost 99% of the time. It really adds weight to the low end.
