What are E-typs? And where do you go to have them cleaned professionally and how much does it cost? I remember once I had my ears cleaned at a doctor's office because I couldn't hear out of one of my ears. They used a water jet and it worked *really* well...I'd love to be able to get something like that if it's available.

well...I don't necessarily want them totally free of earwax - it's there because it serves a purpose. I do, however, want to keep the excess stuff from clogging up in there. I've had a couple of instances where the foam tips on my Etys will actually get damaged (the front of the foam pulls away from the center tube) because they're pushing against excess earwax.

I myself use sterile (autoclaved) lab grade cotton tip applicators, I prefer it since the swab is pretty firm, doesn't dangle and fall apart...

If only I had my etys though... *sigh*
