I'm looking to buy a M1GD55 to have a great quality MP3 player that's compact and goes with my Shure E500. Problem is, it doesn't have a user adjustable EQ!! I can't really fathom this in an audiophile-targeted player. Anyways, as most of you guys know the E500 tends to be dark and benefits hugely from a bit of EQ in the high end, so I need to know if any of the presets on the Kenwood would allow the player to match nicely with my E500. Anyone have some experience with it?

M1GD55 is not highly rated as the hard drive series as HD10GB7, HD20GA7,
HD30GB9 do.
As a HD20GA7 owner (got stolen eventally), I would say that the EQ is FAR
better than almost any MP3 player I've heard in the Market such like Sony A818 and Cowon i7, Toshiba, etc.
However, the hiss I heard from E500 connected to HD20GA7 is pretty loud.

You might want to consider adding a high impedence cord to E500, but I don't know if it would affect the sound. Or if treble is important to you, selling E500 for TF10 is a better choice, since the EQ does not help much on treble.
