Hello i have seen some very inspiring portable audio rigs. and one in this case i've seen a Adapter that connects
32pin iPod Connector> to> headphone jack.

and that i hear listening from the 32pin connector gives better sound than from listening from the headphone jack? is this correct.

so if i tried to get one of those connectors. and go sorta like this:
32pin iPod jack> Adapter to> Headphone Jack> attach Coupler> attach headphones.

^would this plan be flawed in any sort of way?
would it be better to have it connected to a headphone amp/or DAC

Thank you for reading, thanks for any help!

I believe your talking about an LOD cable, it connects to the 30-pin connector on portable audio players (iPod & iPhone)
Fiio calls them "L" cables.
This cable provides a slightly cleaner analog audio signal as it bypass the internal (iPod & iPhone) headphone amplifier and feeds the analog audio signal to an external (portable) amplifier, usually a headphone amplifier.
As this signal is analog, you can not hook it up to an external DAC, just an amplifier (headphone amplifier).
It's $155 for a DAC (HRT iStremer) that can connect to the LOD (30-pin) port, and it's not really a portable DAC.
( A DAC is an Digital to Analog Converter).

30 Pin iPod Dock Connector > LOD Cable > Amplifier > Headphone/IEM

If you used a Coupler, you wouldn't be able to increase/decrease the volume.
