I just got my LD MKIII, and was listening to it last night from my record player (Rega RP1 > CA 640p > LD MK III > DT770). I am not through the burn in stage yet, so it didnt quite blow me away, but it will get there I am sure.

My question is, I have a Xonar Essence STX on my PC, that I normally listen to FLAC from. Would it be possible to use the RCA-out jacks on the Xonar to connect to the RCA in on my Littledot and basically use the Xonar as a DAC and the Littledot as the amp, that way I could actually set my LD to burn in? I dont want to be playing records constantly on it as well, and I dont feel like dropping more money on a dedicated DAC if my Xonar will do the trick (I understand a dedicated DAC would sound better, but ive already dropped a ton of money recently and plan on getting a pair of DT880 600 ohm, so thats gonna set me back again).

I just want to know if its possible to do that before I go and do it and break something.

yes its possible.

I would also suggest you use the asio output when using it as dac.
