Hi buddies,

I'd like to buy an archos jukebox recorder, which is compatible with USB 2.0. I think my computer only supports USB1.1.
I don't care the transfer speed, but can I tranfer data between my computer and the recorder with the speed of usb1.1, and without updating anything of my computer?

Yes, most USB2 devices (including the Archos you mentioned) is backwards compatible with USB 1.1. So it will work with your current computer.

But, if you buy a USB2.0 PCI adaptor, you will find that you can download/upload tracks to/from your Archos in seconds, instead of minutes...

Thanks! That's great! Yeah, they are very different, but a USB2.0 PCI adaptor is round $60. So, I will leave it away in this moment.
