I have been sucked in by the viscious "head-fi made me do it" upgrade-itis syndrome

I now regularly check the "For Sale" boards and spotted an amp I like the look of - It is £220 (or less hopefully

) and would be sent by DHL Airmail from Germany (I am based in the UK) - would there be any tax (VAT) implications or as fellow EEC members is this not an issue (?)

I think it's not the VAT (Value Added Tax) which concerns you, but custom fees. And no, you won't have to pay any custom fees because there are no custom fees to be paid for stuff bought within the EU.

Completely duty free if you're buying something within the European Union, the sender doesn't even have to fill in a customs declaration so, don't worry, you won't have "any" taxes to pay.
