Hi,

I will soon be receiving the total airhead I recently bought. I intend to use it using the line out from my portable cd player and then plugh my earphones into it. No problem.

But, I also like to listen to the music on my computer. I have a laptop, and there is no line out. Just regular level out. Can I still plug this output into my airhead? I listen to computer file music a lot, so I am hoping I can use my amp.

What is the best way to get the best signal in my situation? Will the output from my pc laptop blow the front end of the amp and therefore cannot be used that way?

Well, let me know.

Thanks.

Do I set the pc output volume to very low and use the airhead as the volume control?

I am afraid of overloading the amp.

That's how I would try it first. It should sound best that way. Maybe something like set the airhead at 3/4 volume and bump the PC volume up from very low.

See if you can change your order to the bithead. It has a usb dac which will give you much better sound from your pc.
It is more than worth the modest price increase.

I first bought the airhead and then regretted not buying the bithead.

Of course, this being head-fi I now have a move and an iBasso D3 :)
