I have an old E-MU 0202 DAC that I use for my computer. It goes up to 24-bit/192khz. I didn't buy this DAC, it was given to me by a family member who no longer needed it. Right now, I'm not incredibly knowledgeable about DACs, and since this device is fairly old, I can't find much information about it on the internet. Does anybody know how good this unit really is? Is it better than the DAC on my PC, and is it good for use with headphones in the $100-200 range? Does it require a separate amplifier? I'm hoping this can improve the sound quality of my computer. Thanks!
