I am hoping that if I buy the Sony, I will be able to drag and drop music files, albums, etc. from my Mac Leopard operating system computer. Does anybody know if this is possible. Many thanks.

Yes 100% although the 829, just as its predecessor, will immediately reconnect after having been ejected. Other than that it works perfectly with 10.5.2. I own the 818 for gym use.

Album art doesn't show up if you drag and drop though, just a FYI.

It does most of the times (90%) using Finder.
