Sorry, I can't seem to find an answer to this basic question. Does the 360RA function do anything if I'm listening to music I've got stored on my iPhone? Or does it only work with a streaming service?

I have a Tidal premium subscription and there's a "360 Reality Audio" genre with compatible tracks. I'm pretty sure other streaming services have 360 RA tracks as well.

I've tried it out with my Sony WR-1000XM4 earphones, but I'm not a fan. Maybe the 360 RA tracks sound better on the over-ear Sony headphones.

I also tried it with my 1000xm4 and xm5 however I don't find it to be anywhere too useful really.

the only good 360 implementation right now is through nugs.net. If you’re not into live jam bands then you’re SOL for the time being. Only a few products work well with it, like the Denon Perl Pro, AT TWX9, and the new AirPods Pro
