i have a couple of shure earphones and they are known to have the infamous cable split. i was wondering if there were any ways to try to prevent that or if there were any companies or people that you know of that can recable these as i dont really want to try to do them myself. i had a cable split not too long ago and dont want that to happen again

what i did was have a thin layer of insulating tape over the wire in the over the ear bit and my shure e2cs still don't have that problem used those for about a year before i upgraded
