I already have a sweet Sony HDTV, so I don't think it's important that I get a monitor that's HDCP (whatever that is...something to do with HDMI) compliant. I don't intend to use this as a TV in a serious capacity, and I don't watch TV/cable at all.
I will be spending the summer in Montana, in a dorm room during an internship, and I'm not taking my HDTV obviously. I need a monitor anyway, so if I just get something that will take video inputs I can bring my PS2. I'm actually pretty happy watching movies on my laptop.
