Are interconnect cables the same as audio and video RCA cables? I plan on getting a new turntable and preamp next week but I realized I need some interconnect cables between the preamp and my stereo receiver. I was looking around my house and I found these

would they work or do I need to buy something like these

These work in the same manner, there is a pin and a shield which act as + and -.
The interconnects would work, just treat the red and white as what you would with RCA, leave the yellow unplugged (TBH it doesn't really matter, just easier for people to identify.)

RCAs are basically interconnects.
Oh and the interconnects you have would most possibly be a lower quality wire than the RCA from the looks of it.
