I'm going to be using this mainly for gaming. I am buying an X-Fi Xtreme Music as the source but I also have a 2.1 sound system ( http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/Produc...uctCode=360409 ). Should I connect them to the sound card or to these speakers? I'm new to this so thanks for your help

. Oh and btw, I might buy an amp (PA2V2) later on.

Definitely NOT to the speakers. Connecting them to the x-fi is the next best thing and an amp is the best thing you can do.
