I noticed that Windows software has a "spatial sound" option for choosing Dolby Atmos.

What effect, if any, would this have on streamed music from Tidal or other sources?

I purchased the Dolby Atmos license/program on Windows. I used to use it quite often, but mostly for gaming (to apparently increase the positional accuracy of game sounds). As it relates to music, you can definitely hear a change. It's more apparently (in my non-expert opinion) on Tidal Hi-Fi versus YouTube, for instance. But in all honesty, it just feels like an EQ change. Pick the profile that sounds the best to you and run with that. I stopped using Dolby because sometimes some games would say not to use any non-game related surround sound features as it may cause issues with audio in the game (in that it wasn't as accurate as it could be) so I stopped using it.

Additionally, for a while, it kept crashing my audio so I'd have no audio until I restarted, so I stopped using it altogether.
