I have a Fiio E17 which I have been using via USB from my laptop which is fine but the E17 only supports 16/48 via USB and my laptop doesn’t have a digital or optical output. So my question is would I be able send the Laptop signal via HDMI to a TV, which I use for a monitor, and then use the digital out on the TV to send the signal to my Fiio for playback of 24/96 tracks? I would expect that it would work but I’m not 100% sure and I’d like to know before buying a digital coax cable. Thanks in advance!
