I bought the ATH-D700X a few years back.

I noticed the cable is cracking everywhere. The cracks are so bad it's like a knife went through them; the wire inside is fine. When I repair them with heat shrink more keep showing up. I think it happens when the cable starts to twist a lot. But it's happening on the same day. Can I just replace the cable?

Any tips, please?

Do you mean the AD700X? It looks like that cable is hard wired in. You could open it up and mod it to have a 3.5mm port, but what might be easier is to just cut the wire a few inches from the headphone and solder a 3.5mm female or something. That way you can just change out the aux cable you're using with it.
