Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module - Add optical and coaxial digital I/O to your Sound Blaster equipped PC.
I have a Zero DAC/Amp on the way and I'm intending to have USB->Optical hooked up and my X-FI hooked up with 3.5mm to coax SPDIF cable. If you use the coax SPDIF out or use the I/O module with optical does this effectively bypass the sound card when transmitting the digital signal or is the audio still going to be colored/distorted by the X-FI?
Thanks for any info.
