is it true that an ASIO device can only be accessed by one application at a time? so when I play music through an ASIO device, sound from other applications won't be heard?

I have no difficulties output through one audio device from multiple applications using ASIO mode in all of them.

I believe the Echo Indigo DJ can take multiple ASIO signals because it has 8 mono virtual channels of 4 stereo virtual channels. I haven't tried this though so I wouldn't know for sure.
