I'm thinking of putting together a small deck-top syetem based on some of the small series Pro-Ject components.  Can anyone characterize their quality both build-wise and sound-wise?  Do they strike you as well made, flimsy, solid?  Looking at a CD Box, DAC, maybe a Stream Box.

Thanks!

I have several of the Pro-Ject turntables and analog electronics here. So I can speak to those.

Everything is pretty solidly built. The electronics are heavier than you might think for their size. For the items that have pretty much the same design but different features (e.g. a built-in SpeedBox) the sound quality is the same, but as you go up the price scale it does improve. I think the analog products sound excellent at the various price points.

I would assume their digital products are built to similar quality standards. They tend to share the same manufacturing and physical designs.
