I'm pretty sure architects and CAD engineers are happy that there's a faster machine should they ever need one. It takes very complex work to push two 7800s to the limit, but I'm sure it has happened.

Oh, and I wonder how many FPS it can get in Fear Factor v6...

Pfft. 30" screen? Try two of them on a PowerMac G5 running a Quadro. Now that's real estate. 2 30" Apple Cinema HD (2560x1600) screens will make you have to turn your head to look at a different document =p.

Good choice! I've got one of these for myself for Xmas, too - a very nice monitor with a lot of functions. I'm especially fond of the choice of options for displaying lower resolutions and the pip functions...
