I just thought of something funny about this Dell video card. It won't be running the fastest it can unless they use Athlon 64 BUT Dell is only using Intel CPUs.

Or they could use dual Xeons or even quad Xeons. Makes for a very expensive machine, though.
I'm pretty sure architects and CAD engineers are happy that there's a faster machine should they ever need one. It takes very complex work to push two 7800s to the limit, but I'm sure it has happened.

Oh, and I wonder how many FPS it can get in Fear Factor v6...

My question about Quad SLI is how much will the PSU to power it weigh.

I liked IBM's old 22.2" one from 2001: Quote:

3840 x 2400 addressability (QUXGA-W)
9.2 million total pixels, 204 pixel density per inch (80 per cm)

here's the good part:
Two detached external power supply (AC Adapters)
Weight: 26.4 lbs, 12 kg
Power consumption: Maximum: 111 watts, Normal use: <111 watts typical
o.O

It also required two DVI ports to operate.

I used to be the same way. Now I have found a better outlet for my money.

R10 anyone?

Pfft. 30" screen? Try two of them on a PowerMac G5 running a Quadro. Now that's real estate. 2 30" Apple Cinema HD (2560x1600) screens will make you have to turn your head to look at a different document =p.

Good choice! I've got one of these for myself for Xmas, too - a very nice monitor with a lot of functions. I'm especially fond of the choice of options for displaying lower resolutions and the pip functions...

I'm also a member of the 2405FPW club... Absolutely love it! Best upgrade ever... makes critical photoshop work SO much easier!
