le sigh, anyone having issues with Qobuz through UAPP today?
The song cue's are not populating on the majority (not all) albums so you can't play anything. No updates were performed. I can play songs in my tracks favorites. It's just the albums. Qobuz desktop and android apps work fine. No connectivity problems in UAPP other than this lack of songs populating.

I've been having issues with Roon not playing anything from Qobuz till I restart the server. Possibly related. Try logging out and back in to the service through the app. That also works for me.

Thanks. No way to log out explicitly. I can make it error out with bad characters, that's all from UAPP that I could see to actually log out.

Yes, it was the e-Onkyo acquisition news. I'm hoping that this could help improve global access to music from Japanese labels. Many of them don't distribute or stream internationally.

I wonder how Tidal can afford to offer their lossless service for $1 for 90 Days through Bestbuy. Nowadays, the promotion runs every other month.

I mainly use Qobuz but keep rolling these $1 Tidal subscriptions, one after another, to fill in catalog gaps.

Not sure of anyone shares the same impression... But lately I see Qobuz release new titles in hi-res more often and way faster than Tidal does with MQA... Anyone sharing that feeling? I currently have both subscriptions, but for me Qobuz definitely has moved up from backup to primary source ...

For me it's just a habit dating back to buying vinyl. I just want to have it. Some may argue there is a difference in sound quality, though I'm not going to weigh in on that. Things get removed from time to time as well, so what they have listed today may change at some point due to licensing issues. Either way I just wanna have it, hahaha.

There was a presentation at CanJam NYC from a QoBuz exec. that noted artists receive higher revenue from purchased music than streaming of their material, so I try to buy a few titles each month. Sublime is a good choice for me. I also do like to own my favorite music, store offline, but admittedly I am an old dude.

Tidal failed my listening tests in 2020 before the goldensound video. I've been loyal to quobuz ever since. Now people might be more willing to listen to me say that Tidal sounds bad.... definitely doesn't stack up to lossless.

Quobuz apps apps for both PC and android have never been great. The PC app has never switched the sample rate on my converter properly between songs during bit-perfect playback. I haven't checked lately though because...

ROON. Quobuz plus ROON is the way.

Fantastic. And the credits and related artists make it more like how good Spotify is at that. It really brings the experience up the ultimate.

I wish that the Quobuz app was as good as Roon, but I cannot demand that for the price. The combined price of the two is worth far more than the amazing experience that is delivered, so I am a happy customer of both companies.

Bit-perfect playback with an ASIO driver is something I can never preach about enough. Good stuff. The digital pre-DAC side of the HI-FI experience.
