Haven't posted in the open forums for a while, but I gotta say I love these little cans. They are FUN to listen to and unbelievably minuscule---PERFECT for under a helmet.

Those instructions should go into the user manual.

It's called the "electrician wrap" You can use the same move to wrap a long extension cord or garden hose but now between your hand and your elbow. Old school baby!

How do these compare to Ety Er4P??

What one would you recommend buying?

I've never heard the ER-4p, so I can only go by what others have said.

I've heard the Q-Jays are like the ER-4P with stronger bass.

Not quite... u will have to search the forum on my comments about the Qjays.

Sum ppl say the ER4 sounds "clinical." Clinical suggests cold. I don't think the ER4 is cold, it's simply accurate, without being cold. It's not warm either, it's simply, hate to repeat myself, accurate.

I've now seen 2 of your recent posts that say this. Since I'm interested in the q-Jays, I actually did look through about three pages of your posts, and clicked on some of the ones that seemed to be about the q-Jays. But none that I saw amounted to comments on sound, fit, or anything else except your resale on ebay. If you have something to say about them, please either say it or link to the post that does.

I would say they have a "fun" sound perhaps not because of the bass, but of the energetic, toe-tapping treble. It has a lot of energy and drive in the high end, without compromising too much of the low end.

In comparison, the E500/SE530 is more of a mellow, smooth, relaxed sound signature with rolled off highs and a bassier output.
